Tumbling Blocks Mug Rug

Cathi made this Tumbling Blocks mug rug using the 1″ 60-degree diamond collection and half hexagons from the 1″ 60-degree hexagon collection.

I had loads of diamonds from various swaps on the Inklingo list and, as I have always been intrigued by the Tumbling Blocks design, decided to make a mug rug. I wanted the light diamonds to be the same, so I printed some white diamonds to use and then just paired up the mediums and darks. Hand pieced and machine quilted.

Hexagon Bag / Tote

Jeannette from Down Under has made this gorgeous bag.
She writes :
I used 1″ hexes and half hexes from collection 1 (editor’s note : The same shapes are in the downloadable 1″ Hexagon collection). The outside of the bag is hand pieced and the lining and pocket is machined. I hand quilted around the centre hexes and I used no 5 Perle black cotton at all intersections of the half hexes to put a large stitch along each seam with a black bead in the centre.
I hand stitched the handles on.
The bag measures 10 x 12″

And it is looking great, Jeannette
